“We know that the quality and quantity of a workforce is a critical factor in recruiting new and expanding businesses to the Jonesboro region. Boyette Strategic Advisors took a fresh approach to exploring those issues and provided us with a comprehensive look at our labor force, including quality, quantity and available skills. The Boyette Strategic Advisors team used a unique combination of research tools to help us have a clear picture of our labor force and even gave us the tools to market our labor force to our prospects.”
Boyette Strategic Advisors was engaged by the Jonesboro Economic Development Commission (JEDC) to complete an analysis of the quantity and quality of the Jonesboro region’s workforce. The JEDC was seeking a new approach to exploring a variety of workforce issues, including quantifying existing skill levels, determining workforce/labor availability and identifying issues related to unemployment and underemployment. Boyette Strategic Advisors conducted stakeholder interviews; identified key industry sectors for the region; conducted an online survey of employers; developed a telephone survey of residents in the region; and reviewed key statistical data about the area in developing a profile of the labor market. In addition, marketing messages highlighting the strengths of the region’s workforce were also developed as part of the project.
