The Knoxville-Oak Ridge Innovation Valley engaged Boyette Strategic Advisors to develop a comprehensive economic development blueprint on behalf of the Jobs Now! program. Jobs Now! is the successful economic development program and funding mechanism that has served the Greater Knoxville region since 2003.
In an effort to assist the Knoxville-Oak Ridge Innovation Valley in building on recent successes, Boyette Strategic Advisors developed an economic development strategy that addressed the following key components:
- Recommendations for an overall organizational structure for the regional economic development program and staff;
- Identification of targeted industry sectors that consider the strengths, assets and needs of all nine counties within the region;
- Development of strategies in key program areas that are designed to further strengthen the Innovation Valley brand; and
- Preparation of a marketing plan to enhance awareness of the region and its assets.
