Statesboro, a progressive community located in Bulloch County, Georgia, chose to take a proactive approach in redefining policy and procedures for economic development. Boyette Strategic Advisors analyzed Statesboro’s situation as it compared to other communities throughout the Southeast with characteristics similar to Statesboro, as well as communities that have been recognized as successful in their business recruitment and expansion efforts and communities that are using “best practices” related to issues in Statesboro.

The findings of this research were the basis for recommended operational structure and incentives policies for the economic development agency, as well as additional considerations to take Statesboro to the next level in attracting and retaining industry.
